"Freeway" Rick Ross Has Zero Respect For Rick Ross The Rapper

Even though Rick Ross (the rapper) was just crowned MTV's "Hottest MC In The Game," one person who is not too fond of Rozay is the real Rick Ross. The real "Freeway" Rick Ross—the drug trafficker who made millions of dollars in the '80s—has been seeking justice against the biggest bawse over profiting from his name. After his case was thrown out, it re-opened in California and is now going back to trial. In his talk with The Boombox, Freeway had a thing or two to say about William Roberts.
On the trial:
"We've been doing depositions everyday for the last month, just about. I heard some really interesting testimony, probably the most interesting was the rapper, he showed me how big a clown he is. I had a little respect for him, but after I saw his deposition, I have zero respect for him now. I think he's a complete idiot. It's a disgrace for me to have someone like this with my name. He doesn't know what the name stands for, or how I got my name. He thinks that this name belongs to some big mafia guy who don't care about nothing but himself and really, he's just a pig."

J. Cole Gets His Own Holiday In His Hometown Fayetteville, NC

J. Cole might not have bagged the Best New Artist award at this year's Grammys, but hey, all's clearly not lost for the gifted rapper-producer. He just dropped an ill new track in "Grew Up Fast" and, oh right, he has his own holiday/celebration in his hometown in Fayetteville, N.C. The three-day event is called Dreamville Weekend and it will run this Thursday, March 1 through Saturday, March 3.
It includes speaking events, parties, and a special concert called the "Dollar And A Dream Show." If you're in the area, head to the Fillmore Charlotte this Saturday at 9 p.m. to catch Cole's performance. It's for a good cause, too, as a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Cumberland Community Foundation.

Apple Announces New iPad To Debut March 7th

Apple will announce the highly anticipated next entry in its blockbuster line of tablet computers on Wednesday, March 7. The company sent out the official invite to the special event in San Francisco (above) this afternoon, declaring "We have something you really have to see. And touch."
With rumors and purported leaks about the next iPad reaching a fevered pitch, the announcement of an announcement was somewhat less coy then invites Apple has sent out for such events in the past. In the included picture, a new version of the iPad is clearly shown, and it appears to have a very high resolution display— the so-called "Retina Display" that most have anticipated.
In addition to the new display, the next iPad is also expected to support high-speed 4G data networks as well as the iPhone 4S's artificially intelligent assistant Siri.

Drake Comments On All The Rappers Coming At Him Lately

Especially after the success of Take CareDrake has been the target of plenty of other rappers' lyrical attacks. Whether it's the direct shots fired by Common or the subliminals from Pusha T, the jabs just keep on coming. In this month's issue of VIBE, Drake responds to it all in a calm, civil, and calculated kind of way.
“I’ve got no issues with him,” he says of Future, who was upset that Drake didn’t appear in his video, “Tony Montana.” “I’m happy I got on the song.” Pusha T, who once cryptically rhymed that, “the swag doesn’t match the sweaters,” gets off easy, too. “I’ve been really open about my love for the Clipse,” he says. “I don’t know, maybe that guy is bored.” Ludacris, who was accused of stealing Big Sean and Drake’s hashtag flow, also receives a halfhearted smack down, “That’s a case of someone trying to use my marketing money to get things going again for themselves. That didn’t affect my day, my month, my year. I didn’t take any of that seriously.”

Limp Bizkit's New Single To Feature Lil Wayne

Limp Bizkit is releasing a new single with Lil Wayne probably sounds weird and triggers plenty of WTF?! glances. But as you might have heard, Fred Durst and company signed with Cash Money Records last week. Plus, we all know Weezy loves him so rawk-ish music -- Rebirth, anyone? -- so this pairing actually makes a lot of sense. It makes even more sense when you realize that a similar announcement was made back in March 2011. Hmm, could this be the same cut?

Jay-Z and Kanye West Are Auctioning Off the Custom "Otis" Maybach

Writing curses in cursive wasn't the only sophisticated ignorance Jay-Z and Kanye West were on in their "Otis" music video. They also took a $350,000 Maybach to the chop shop, completely destroying the luxury vehicle just for the hell of it. Now, over half a year later, news has come out that Hov and West will be auctioning the vehicle for charity at a Phillips de Pury auction.
"The funds raised from auctioning off the 'Otis' car are greatly needed to help sustain families over the next several months," said Save the Children CEO Carolyn Miles. "We are grateful to Jay-Z and Kanye West for offering up pop culture history to do good for children in Africa."
Although the car isn't expected to get anywhere near the retail price, the organization is still hoping to pull in around $100,000. The auction will take place in New York on March 8.

Yesterday Complex met with Dream—not so much to talk about his work for others, but to get into what he has on deck as a solo artist.

VIDEO: Teemonee - Run (Teestyle)

ARTIST BIO:   Tameek Williams (born April 9, 1992), better known by the stage name Teemonee, an American rapper from New York City. He is the leader of his hip-hop group MONEE GANG. He released his debut single, Ready To Die, in 2010, based on a previous car accident he had been in just weeks prior to the release. Still unsigned Tee proceeded to drop his 2nd single, Digital Girl, to show people what he was capable of. Through the release of Digital Girl he was able to capture the attention of locals on Myspace and Facebook. He then released a mixtape titled Black Star to show that's who he was. 2 months after the release of Black Star he proceeded to release another mixtape, For The Love of Monee, which was a free download that didn't go over so well. Once the hype for For The Love of Monee died out, he then began to work on his first album, Getting Famous Fast in April 2011. He then released his 2nd album, The Reign in June 2011, and then released his 3rd album, Fools Paradise in September 2011. Finished 4th album, A New Future at the end of December 2011. Then released a mixtape 'Art of the Teestyle' January 2012. Teemonee still remains unsigned, as of February 2012, but continues to work towards his success.
